About Vic's Guitar Cave
The Cave has actually been in business for over 25 years. It started out in a 5 ½ x 15-foot storage room in the back of Hillsboro Music which later became What’s Up Music located on Main street. Students coined the phrase “Cave” because when they were asked where they took guitar lessons they just said “in Vic’s Guitar Cave”, the Cave got all the credit.
After an eight-year teaching stint in Hillsboro from 1995-2003, the Cave moved to 19th Avenue in Forest Grove. Due to the small space size and an ever-growing student roster, the Cave moved to its present location on the corner of 21st Ave and Main street in downtown Forest Grove. Although the Cave has become a retail shop carrying both New, Used and Vintage Instruments, Vic has always maintained and nurtured his first love, teaching.
